Nakusp Collective for Movement and Wellness Center (NaCoMo)
is a registered non-profit society run exclusively by volunteers. The purpose of the society is to provide a space in which classes and events can be held which will encourage self-awareness, self-discovery and self-expression through movement, education and creative opportunity.
The NaCoMo location is 90-5th Ave SW, behind Kootenay Savings. It is wheelchair accessible.
To date classes have been held in Feldenkrais, yoga, karate, ballet and jazz dance, belly dance, free dance and educational documentaries have been shown.
The center runs on membership fees and instructor fee shares. Therefore, all users of NaCoMo both practitioners and students, are required to pay a yearly membership fee from September 1st, to August 31st of $25. Children under the age of 17 are charged a $10 annual membership, unless the parent is a member, in which case they are charged $5 per child. This entitles participation in all NaCoMo activities.
Class fees are separate, and paid to the instructors. To register for a class, contact the instructor directly.
The space is available for rent for appropriate activities. Please see “Rental Info” for the NaCoMo Space Booking Usage Agreement
